Migraines

At Ambroziak Clinic, we treat migraines with one of the substances used most frequently in aesthetic medicine - botulinum toxin. This substance inhibits muscle contractions by stopping the release of acetylcholine. But what does this mean for people suffering from migraines? When injected into the area of head sensory endings, the muscles that caused the pain by pressing or squeezing the nerves are now blocked so that the migraine does not arise. The effects of this treatment appear after about 7 days and last for 6-12 weeks - after this time the treatment has to be repeated. In up to 80% of patients, migraine disorders disappear completely for the duration of botulinum toxin efficiency, while in more than half of patients they significantly decrease in terms of frequency and severity.
