Labioplasty
Labial hypertrophy is a problem that can be congenital or occur after puberty, following injury, recurrent intimate infections or natural childbirth. It is a condition that makes everyday life difficult. Pain, abrasions and irritation of the labia occur as a result of physical activity or intercourse and their troublesome consequence are sometimes chronic intimate infections. Discomfort related to labia hypertrophy is subjective and there is no typical norm of size or shape of the labia at which complaints appear. Labioplasty is the dedicated treatment for patients struggling with this problem.
Labioplasty is a surgical procedure to reduce excess tissue or change the labia shape. It can involve both labia or one in case of significant asymmetry. Because of the more frequent occurrence of labia minora overgrowth, this procedure is most often performed in this area. Plastic surgery of labia majora is performed less frequently.
Why is it worth it?
Labioplasty is a short procedure under local anaesthesia which permanently improves the aesthetics of intimate areas and the comfort of patients' lives.
